Spain international Diego Costa has emerged as a surprise summer transfer target for Paris Saint-Germain, according to the Daily Star.
The Chelsea hitman is the latest Blues star to be monitored by the Ligue 1 champions ahead of the close of the 2015-16 campaign, with Belgium winger Eden Hazard the first to be linked with a move to join Laurent Blanc’s men earlier this year.
The 27-year-old, who has ten international caps for this country and is expected to feature for Spain at the 2016 UEFA European Championships later this year in France, is the defending Premier League champions’ top goalscorer in all competitions this season.
Costa, who arrived at Stamford Bridge for a reported £32m from Atletico Madrid back in July 2014, has found the back of the net 14 times and provided 10 assists in 35 games so far this campaign.
PSG face Chelsea in their UEFA Champions League last-16 second leg in London on Wednesday night, hoping to knock the English outfit out of the competition for the second successive year.
