The side managed by Dean Smith have lost their last three matches in all competitions.

In fact, Brentford’s last victory came over National League side Eastleigh in the third round of this competition three weeks ago.

Since then, they have lost against three former FA Cup winners in the forms of Newcastle United, Wigan Athletic and now Chelsea.

Brentford may be eight points clear of relegation in the Championship table, but if they continue losing games in the way they currently are, then they may dragged into a relegation dogfight in the final part of the season.
