Arsenal capped off their Premier League campaign with a superb 5-0 win over Wolves on Sunday.

The Gunners had topped the table for much of the season before being leapfrogged by Manchester City last month, but Mikel Arteta’s side will still be pleased having qualified for next season’s Champions League.

The north London outfit haven’t qualified for the competition for the past six seasons, with their last game being a 5-1 defeat against German giants Bayern Munich, resulting in a 10-2 aggregate loss in the last 16.

Arsenal’s side is now unrecognisable from the one that was humiliated against Bayern, with the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Olivier Giroud and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain having all started the match.

Now, though, it appears that Sanchez is keen on a return to the Premier League.

According to The Sun, the 153-time Chile international is open to the idea of a return to England following the expiry of his deal with current side Marseille.

Sanchez will leave the French club next month after just one season in Ligue 1, and the report claims that the player has put the feelers out to see if there is any interest from Premier League sides.

Sanchez is set to become a free agent next month

Sanchez joined Arsenal from Spanish giants Barcelona in 2014 and spent four years with the club before leaving to join fierce rivals Manchester United.

During his time in the capital, the forward scored 80 goals and provided 45 assists in 166 appearances across all competitions.

After moving to Old Trafford in 2018, though, the player scored just five goals in 45 games before being moved on to Italian club Inter Milan.

It is also claimed that reports in Chile claim that Arsenal are considering a sensational move for the player, five years after he departed The Emirates.

The 34-year-old enjoyed a hugely successful spell in north London, but his career has never reached the same heights since his departure from Arsenal in 2018.

Although Arteta will be looking to bolster his squad during the upcoming summer transfer window, it remains to be seen whether or not the Gunners do in fact have concrete interest in the player.
