Ex-Manchester United winger Lee Sharpe has urged Manchester United to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund in the summer.

The 19-year-old is again lighting up the Bundesliga this term with 14 goals and 16 assists in 28 appearances.

Despite excelling in Germany, Sky in Germany have reported that Manchester United are leading the race to bring him back to England.

And Sharpe told Sky Sports he would love to see the talented teenager link up with the Red Devils.

Sancho has been sensational for Dortmund.

“I think he’s a fantastic player and would fit in great at United.” said Sharpe.

“He’s done it for a few seasons now, he’s created chances, he’s making defenders look foolish, he’s scoring his fair share of goals and he’s showing he’s the complete player.

“His work ethic is fantastic and he’s the sort of player you want at your club and I’m sure United won’t be the only club chasing him.

“Fingers crossed they get him and he can light up Old Trafford next season.”

Sancho, who joined Dortmund from Manchester City in 2016, is valued at £100million and has also been linked with Chelsea.
