England international forward Jesse Lingard is reportedly set to sign a new contract with Manchester United, according to the Daily Mail.

The Premier League club, who dropped down to eighth in the top-flight table over the weekend after their goalless home encounter against newly promoted Burnley at Old Trafford on Saturday, are set to reward the winger by doubling his current £30,000-a-week wages with a fresh deal.

The 23-year-old, who has two international caps for the Three Lions, has scored two goals and provided two assists in nine appearances in all competitions for the Red Devils so far this season.

Lingard, who is in line to put pen to paper on a new four-year contract at Old Trafford, has enjoyed loan spells at Leicester City, Birmingham City, Brighton and Hove Albion and Derby County during his United career.

The report adds that the England star is set to also sign a new deal with Adidas.
