‘Four signings in four days’ What’s needed at Manchester United if they are to challenge for titles again, according to Ex-United player Luke Chadwick via Sports Mole

As unrealistic as four signings in four days is, that’s what’s facing United if they want to compete at the top of the league once again.

It’s been agonising for United fans, seeing their closest rivals Liverpool and Manchester City challenging for England’s top domestic prize, whilst the Red Devils themselves try and break the top four.

The Jadon Sancho saga is still rolling on, but ex-United midfielder believes it will take more than that signing to reach the very top again.

Chadwick said: “For the club to really compete, they need more than one signing.

“It will take two, three, four signings to really compete.

United are still chasing Sancho’s signature.

“Sancho would be a huge signing. They’ve got gifted players in that position already but Sancho is a talent that doesn’t come around too often.

“He looks like a Manchester United player from years gone by if you think about George Best, Ryan Giggs, Cristiano Ronaldo.

“He can be of a similar ilk as those players in the future and can appease the fans.

“The defensive issues are a problem. They need reinforcements in the back-four.

“The left-back position has been spoken about a lot. Alex Telles looks a fantastic player.”
