Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte is plotting a rebuild of the London side’s squad, starting with the sale of four of the club’s stars.

As per Fabrizio Romano, the Lilywhites are working on deals to offload Tanguy Ndombele and Dele Alli.

Taking to Twitter, the Italian journalist revealed that Spurs are ready to let the pair go this month, despite the former having mae a club record move to North London just two-and-a-half years ago.

The Frenchman has showed glimpses of his talent during his time in England, but has been largely unconvincing and both Nuno Esperito Santo and Conte have preferred the likes of Harry Winks and Piere-Emile Hojbjerg.

Ndombele has made just nine Premier League appearances so far this term, starting only six of them, and was booed off the pitch after exiting the pitch slowly when substituted while 1-0 down against Morecambe in the FA Cup earlier this month.

Alli, meanwhile, has endured a remarkable fall from grace at the club, having exploded onto the Premier League scene during his debut campaign.

Spurs are working to offload Alli this month

After a £6 million move from MK Dons in 2015, the Englishman scored ten goals in 33 top flight games during his first season with Spurs, and went on to score 31 goals and provide 30 assists across all competitions over the following two seasons.

The midfielder has struggled since though, having started just 36 league games since the start of the 2019/20 campaign.

Romano also suggests that both Matt Doherty and Steven Bergwijn have also been made available for sale by Spurs, who are still targeting Wolves winger Adama Traore.

Doherty joined the club from Wolves for £15 million in the summer of 2020, but has failed to recreate the form he displayed with his former side.

Bergwijn, meanwhile, has also been out of favour of late, and has scored just five goals in 64 appearances for the club since joining two years ago.

Spurs’ move for Traore is progressing slowly though, with Wolves boss Bruno Lage keen to keep the Spaniard at the club until the end of the season.

Traore has been a long term target for Tottenham, but a move has never materialised.

Conte is keen on signing a winger, though, and Spurs have therefore decided to make an offer for the player once more.

The Spain international scored his first league goal of the season against Southampton on Saturday.
