Frank Lampard keen to bring in Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell when Chelsea’s transfer ban is lifted, according to The Sun

A successful appeal would allow the West London club to sign players in January, but if unsuccessful the Chelsea boss will have to wait until next summer to bring in new players.

The Sun suggest top of Chelsea’s hitlist is left-back Chilwell for a reported £70million. They could face competition though, as Atletico Madrid, Manchester City and Barcelona have been reported as interested recently.

Lampard will still be considering future signings despite transfer ban.

Lampard is thought to be a big fan of the 22-year-old as he hopes to bring some much-needed youth to the squad alongside exciting talents such as Mason Mount.

Chilwell has come through the ranks at the Foxes, and is now a regular in the side and a full England international.

Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers will be likely to include the cultured full-back in his starting line-up as his team face Wolverhampton Wanderers in their opening Premier League game.
