Chelsea look set to be busy during the remainder of the current transfer window, with Mauricio Pochettino likely looking to bolster his squad.

So far this summer the Blues have signed two players – Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson – while several first team stars have left the club.

Cesar Azpilicueta, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Edouard Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly, Christian Pulisic, Mateo Kovacic, Mason Mount, Kai Havertz and N’Golo Kante have all departed Stamford Bridge permanently, while David Datro Fofana has been sent out on loan.

Despite Chelsea’s squad looking increasingly sparse, it appears that the Blues are willing to let another player leave this summer.

As per 90min, the London club are in talks with French side Marseille over a potential deal for striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The report claims that the forward is expected to leave Chelsea this summer and has been the subject of enquiries, however the Blues have told interest clubs that they must pay a fee for the player.

Aubameyang, 34, joined the club from Spanish side Barcelona last summer but struggled during his first season in West London.

Chelsea are said to be adamant that Aubameyang won’t leave the club for free this summer

The Gabon international scored just three goals in 21 appearances across all competitions, and was left out of the Blues’ squad for the knockout stages of the Champions League.

Both the player and his current employers are believed to be in agreement that a move elsewhere is the best option, but Chelsea are adamant that the former Arsenal man will not leave for free.

Aubameyang, who scored 92 goals in 163 matches for the Gunners, is currently contracted to Chelsea until next summer.

The forward, who cost Chelsea £12 million last summer, has been the subject of an offer from an unnamed Saudi Arabian club, the report claims.

Ligue 1 side Marseille will reportedly struggle to afford both a fee for Aubameyang and the player’s wages, but the French club are hoping to persuade the ex-Barcelona star to join the club by tempting him with the offer of Champions League football next term.
