Tottenham Hotspur have already completed a high profile signing this summer, with James Maddison joining from Leicester City.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has been eager to bolster and mould the squad under the guidance of new manager Ange Postecoglou.

The Lilywhites have already secured a major coup for the side as they signed former Leicester star Maddison for around £40m following the Foxes’ relegation from the Premier League.

The North Londoners have also signed goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario from Empoli, with Hugo Lloris’ future at the club uncertain.

Spurs have also been heavily linked with Manor Salomon and Wolfsburg defender Micky van de Ven, suggesting that there could be more new arrivals at the club before the window slams shut.

However, the Lilywhites are still involved in a huge battle to keep one of their best players.

According to Sky in Germany, Bayern Munich are not giving up on trying to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham this summer.

The German giants have reportedly already had an offer worth more than £60 million rejected by the London side.

It now seems that Bayern are ready to launch a second bid in the region of around £80m for the star striker.

However, the report claims that Levy is desperate to keep hold of the England international, despite the striker only having a year left on his contract.

Kane, 29, has established himself as one of the world’s best forwards in recent seasons, and became both England’s and Spurs’ highest ever scorer last season.

The striker has netted 213 goals and produced 50 assists in 320 Premier League appearances, and netted 30 times in the league last season.

However, Kane is yet to win a trophy with Spurs which will most likely cause the 29-year-old to consider a move away from the club.

The Bavarians have won the Bundesliga title for the past 11 seasons consecutively, which could appeal to Kane if he did decide to move in search of silverware.

However, Kane could be reluctant to leave the Premier League at this stage in his career as he looks to chase down Alan Shearer’s goal scoring record of 260.
