Chelsea will face Premier League rivals Brighton and Hove Albion in the fourth round of the FA Cup later this month.

The Blues booked their place in round four with a convincing 5-0 victory over League Two side Morecambe on Saturday, before being picked to face the Seagulls during the draw on Sunday.

Enzo Maresca will hope to see his side go far in a competition that the Blues have good pedigree in, having won the trophy six times since 2000.

Brighton will provide a stern test, though, and Chelsea will likely have to be at their best if they are to progress to the fifth round.

In the meantime, a German side has reportedly agreed a deal for one of Chelsea’s squad players.

According to Sky Sports Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, Borussia Dortmund have agreed terms with Blues defender Renato Veiga.

He claims that Dortmund have reached a total agreement with the 21-year-old, who is keen on the idea of a move to Germany.

Veiga has reportedly agreed terms with Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund

Veiga only joined Chelsea last summer, signing from Swiss side Basel, but Plettenberg claims that Dortmund are now hoping to reach an agreement with the Blues over a loan deal that would include an option-to-buy clause.

The left-back, who can also play in midfield, has made 8 appearances across all competitions so far this season, scoring twice in the Europa Conference League.

He has struggled for opportunities in the Premier League, however, featuring just seven times and starting only once in the competition so far this season.

The Portugal international is contracted to Chelsea until the end of the 2030/31 campaign, but it appears that he could already be on his way out of Stamford Bridge just months after arriving in England.
