Lee Grant wants out of Stoke City.

According to a report in The Sun the keeper has decided to seek a move after being dropped to make way for Jack Butland.

Grant joined Stoke in January in a £1.3m move from Derby County and adapted easily to life in the Premier League even though he only managed 13 appearances.

Butland’s return from injury saw the 34-year-old demoted onto the bench with no short term prospect of getting back into the side.

Stoke would be happy to keep Grant as back-up to Butland but after spending his career out of the top flight Grant is determined to make the most of life in the top flight.

Four Premier League clubs are believed to be interested in signing the former Derby man but the keeper will have to weigh up his first team chances at those clubs against being understudy at Stoke playing in cup ties.
