Manchester City have not been linked with many players this transfer window, yet their pursuits have quite easily been the most public.

It would be the biggest understatement in the world to say their efforts in signing England duo Jack Grealish and Harry Kane are well documented.

Pep Guardiola’s vast array of options in all positions provide him with a buffet of top quality options; however, it is their forward lines which need to be replenished and re-stocked.

Sergio Aguero’s exit to Barcelona means they are keen on adding a new world class striker, and Kane looks to be the prized jewel City want to add.

A deal for Grealish could allegedly be wrapped up very quickly having completed a medical.

However, the arrival of the Aston Villa captain means experienced midfielder Bernardo Silva is expected to leave, according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo.

Silva has made 131 appearances for City since arriving from Monaco in 2017.

The Portuguese midfielder signed for the Citizens from Monaco for £43 million in 2017.

He has been one of their most influential players in the last four years, playing an enormous role in winning three Premier League titles.

However, it is believed the 26-year-old is seeking a new challenge with Atletico Madrid allegedly waiting in the wings to sign the playmaker.

Guardiola deployed Silva in various roles last term but he still managed to chip in with five goals and nine assists.
