While every club dreams of having Norweigian hot-shot Erling Haaland, his price tag is going to ward off a lot of potential suitors – with figures of £140m+ banded around.

This will have even the very top sides scrounging down the back of the office sofas looking for the change to pull together the war-chest needed – but it could leave the door open for other targets.

Chelsea have their eyes set on 18-year-old French star Eduardo Camavinga, but will no doubt face fierce competition to get him.

Bild are reporting that The Blues will miss out on the mega-auction for Haaland, but football.london say it will give them an opportunity to pursue the young midfielder instead.

Manchester United and Real Madrid are also linked but the report details that favourites to land him, Madrid, are forced to raise funds already in pursuit of the Dortmund striker.

Eduardo Camavinga comes on for the French national team in place of cult-hero N’golo Kante.

If they do that, they will be unable to go for anyone else leaving the door open for the two aforementioned Premier League sides.

Teenage sensation Camavinga has already made 31 appearances this season and has caught the eye of many despite his tender age, playing for Stade Rennais in the French Ligue One.

Born in Angola, he was capped for France twice in 2020 and even managed to score an incredible overhead kick for his country – becoming their second-youngest ever scorer in the process.

He could cost his new employers upwards of £54m, with a contract that runs until next summer.

For any top team, he could be a more-than-welcome addition to the midfield – for the clubs that can’t quite afford to go all-guns-blazing and pick up red-hot attacker Erling Haaland, could someone like Eduardo Camavinga be the next best option?
