Leeds United winger Hadi Sacko has joked that team-mate Chris Wood is good enough to secure a move to Real Madrid.

The 25-year-old, who has 42 international caps for New Zealand, netted twice on Friday night as the Championship club defeated Birmingham City 3-1 at St Andrew’s as The Whites continue to gun for promotion to the Premier League.

Wood, who arrived at Elland Road back in July 2015 following his move from Leicester City, has impressively scored 25 goals and provided two assists in 37 appearances in all competitions for Garry Monk’s men so far this season.

Following the star striker’s brace at Birmingham, fellow forward Sacko took to Twitter to joke about the New Zealander looking for a transfer to La Liga giants Madrid.

He posted, “Woods on his way to Madrid I swear great game everyone and a special congratulations to Woody fully deserved We still #MOT !! @LUFC.”

Leeds moved up to fourth spot in the Championship on Friday night, seven points adrift of the top two automatic promotion spots.
