Belgium international goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois insists he is happy at Chelsea and has rubbished claims Real Madrid are in contact with The Blues star, according to Cadena Cope (via Sky Sports).

The 24-year-old, who has 46 international caps for his country and featured in all of Belgium’s Euro 2016 fixtures earlier this summer, has kept six clean sheets in 11 appearances in all competitions so far this season, including a shutout on Saturday after the club’s 5-0 thrashing of Everton.

Courtois, who arrived at Stamford Bridge from Genk back in July 2011 following his reported €9m switch, is rumoured to be attracting interest from La Liga giants Real Madrid.

The shot stopper, who was loaned out to Spanish rivals Atletico Madrid between 2011 and 2014 prior to snatching the number one jersey from Petr Cech, has admitted he would one day like to return to La Liga.

However, for now, Courtois told radio station Cadena Cope that he is happy at Chelsea, “I never had anything with Real Madrid.

“I did not see anything published, but I never had any contact with Real Madrid.

“I am happy at Chelsea. Everything is going very well – it is a great club.

“There is no reason not to be happy at Chelsea. You never know what will happen in the future, but at the moment I am very well, in a very good atmosphere.”
