Following back-to-back wins; helping the hosts crawl two points adrift of safety, Newcastle United will be looking to make it three Premier League wins on the bounce when they face rock-bottom Aston Villa on Saturday evening (17:30).

After scoring one and assisting Ayoze Perez’s winner at Tottenham last weekend; Magpies boss Steve McClaren will be hoping summer signing Aleksandar Mitrovic can net his first home league goal at St James’ Park since October 18 against fellow strugglers Villa.

Meanwhile opposing manager Remi Garde could do with fellow hitman Rudy Gestede providing the Midlands club a Christmas miracle by firing the club towards their first win since their opening day triumph over newly promoted AFC Bournemouth.

With both strikers set to come head-to-head tonight, here’s how Mitrovic and Gestede match up so far this term…
