Tottenham welcome struggling Newcastle United to White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon (16:00) looking to extend their unbeaten Premier League streak to 15 successive games as they bid to gatecrash the English top-flight’s top four this season.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side; who could only muster a 1-1 draw at West Brom last weekend, head into this weekend’s clash in fine form after Erik Lamela’s first-half hat-trick saw Spurs top Group J in the Europa League after thrashing Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco 4-1 in London.

Meanwhile Steve McClaren’s men; who are facing a relegation battle this term as they currently sit in the division’s bottom three, will be eager to build upon last Sunday’s terrific 2-0 victory over Jurgen Klopp’s in-form Liverpool at St James’ Park.

Christian Eriksen has been one of the hosts’ most consistent and star performers this campaign; scoring three and assisting seven goals in all competitions, meanwhile the Magpies’ super summer signing Georginio Wijnaldum has proved a massive Premier League hit since his switch from Eredivisie outfit PSV Eindhoven back in July.

With both central midfielders key towards their team’s prospects of all three points this weekend, here’s how Eriksen and Wijnaldum match up so far this term…
