Newly promoted AFC Bournemouth will be determined to seal back-to-back Premier League victories this weekend when they host Manchester United at the Goldsands Stadium on Saturday evening (17:30).

Eddie Howe’s men; who dealt another huge blow to defending league champions Chelsea’s top-four hopes with a remarkable 1-0 win at Stamford Bridge last weekend, will be looking to defy the odds once more tomorrow when they come up against the Red Devils.

Although Louis van Gaal’s side will also be doubly determined to taste success after a thoroughly miserable midweek period which saw the Old Trafford outfit knocked out of the UEFA Champions League following their devastating 3-2 defeat at Wolfsburg on Tuesday night.

The Cherries’ Dan Gosling is in fine form heading into Saturday’s fixture having scored three goals in all competitions this campaign, meanwhile United’s Michael Carrick has failed to sparkle in the centre of the park for the visitors so far this season having failed to score or assist any goals in the English top-flight.

However both central midfielder’s are set to play a significant part in Saturday’s clash on the south-coast, so here’s how both men match up so far this season…
