It’s crunch time in the Euro 2016 qualifiers, with just two fixtures remaining, and the Republic of Ireland host Germany knowing a win would be enough to guarantee them a minimum of a play-off spot.

They face a tough task against the world champions though, with a draw enough for Joachim Low’s side to book their place in the championships in France next summer.

One of the most interesting battles could come in midfield between two Premier League enforcers, Everton’s James McCarthy and Manchester United’s Bastian Schweinsteiger.
