Fraizer Campbell is wanted by Huddersfield Town.

According to a report in The Sun the Crystal Palace striker is among the Yorkshire side’s first targets now that they have won promotion to the Premier League.

Campbell’s contract is about to expire with no sign of a new deal to extend his three year stay at Selhurst Park.

The striker was brought up in Huddersfield and would welcome the chance of a return home and the opportunity of regular first team football.

Campbell made 12 substitute appearances in the season just ended with his Palace career petering out with too much time spent on the bench for his liking.

The clock is already ticking against Huddersfield with Newcastle and Brighton getting a one month start on early transfer business.

Manager David Wagner will barely have time to enjoy a summer holiday as he attempts to put a squad together for the challenge of the Premier League with every agent in the business wanting to bring in players to the club.
