Huddersfield pose threat to Palace’s move for Mbodj

Crystal Palace could lose out on Kara Mbodj to Huddersfield.

According to a report on Sport Witness the Premier League newcomers are showing strong interest in the £10m rated Anderlecht defenders.

Mbodj was one of the driving forces behind Anderlecht’s title win but has made it clear that he is looking to quit the Brussels side with his ambitions focussed on England.

Anderlecht refused to discuss a £10m bid from Palace in January but despite the prospect of playing in the Champions League it seems certain that Mboji will be on the move.

Palace are likely to push ahead with signing the defender despite not having a manager but could lose out to Huddersfield who have been alerted to the defender’s availability.

David Wagner has a strong profile on the continent and has been given the go ahead from the Yorkshire to bring in the players to ensure survival in their first ever Premier League season.
