Chelsea continued their strong run of form with a 2-1 win over Leicester City on Saturday afternoon.

Goals from Nicolas Jackson and Enzo Fernandez earned Enzo Maresca’s side a crucial three points in the Italian’s return to The King Power Stadium.

A late Jordan Ayew penalty briefly threatened to ruin Maresca’s return, but the Blues held on to pick up all three points and mover to within a point of second-placed Manchester City.

Off the pitch, it appears that Chelsea have been handed a transfer boost.

As per CaughtOffside, Napoli striker Victor Osimhen’s price tag has decreased since the summer transfer window.

The Nigeria international has been a target for the West London side for some time now, but he joined Turkish side Galatasaray on loan at the end of the recent summer window after failing to secure a move elsewhere in Europe.

Osimhen has been a target for Chelsea for some time now

Osimhen has netted 76 times in 133 games for Napoli, and has scored eight goals in ten games since joining Galatasaray on loan.

The report claims that the 25-year-old is very unlikely to stay put in Istanbul beyond the end of the current season and Chelsea therefore remain interested in signing him next summer.

The Blues will face stiff competition from Italian giants Juventus in the race to sign the forward, though, with the Old Lady having already had contact about a possible move for the Nigerian.

Juventus face the prospect of losing Dusan Vlahovic next summer, and it is suggested that Osimhen has been identified as a suitable replacement for the Serb.

It is claimed that the striker could be available for a fee of around £62 million, whereas previously Napoli had valued him in excess of £100 million.

It remains to be seen whether Osimhen would prefer to return to Serie A or give himself a new challenge in the Premier League.
