Hull City are reportedly keen on appointing Wales boss Chris Coleman as their new manager, according to BBC Sport.

The Premier League side, who defeated Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship play-off final back in May to seal their return to the English top-flight ahead of the upcoming 2016/17 campaign, are looking for a replacement following Steve Bruce’s resignation.

Coleman; 46, guided the Dragons to the semi-finals of this summer’s 2016 European Championships in France, just a month after putting pen to paper on a new two-year contract with the Football Association of Wales.

BBC Radio Humberside’s Dave Burns says, “I’m told by a couple of City sources that Coleman is the man the Tigers want.

“Discussions have taken place and the ball is in his court.

“It doesn’t mean it’s going to happen because it’s a big decision for him. He’s a big hero in Wales, just signed a new contract and City is a club in flux at the moment.”

The report suggests that former Everton boss Roberto Martinez and ex-United States coach Bob Bradley are also in the running for the managerial vacancy at the KCOM Stadium.
