Man United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger, who has been exiled under new manager Jose Mourinho, has said he still wants to win silverware with the Red Devils and is ready and waiting should he be needed.
The former German international, who has been linked with a move to the MLS in January having not played a minute under the Portuguese this season, returned to first team training recently but there is still no sign of a return to first team action.
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, the World Cup winner said:
“Last year we won the FA Cup, that was one of my goals,
“Sure, it would be great to play for United in the Premier League and win the title.
“I’ll be ready if they need me.”
The former Bayern Munich man has not featured for the Red Devils since March of this year, when he picked up an injury against rivals Man City, and has fallen further down the pecking order in the wake of Louis Van Gaal’s departure.
