Manchester United striker has won the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month award for December.

The former Sweden international helped Man United go 11 games unbeaten, for the first time since Sir Alex Ferguson’s reign, with five goals in six league games over the course of the month.

The club congratulated the former Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona striker on Twitter.

The 35-year-old began the month with a goal in United’s 1-1 draw with Everton, before bagging another in a Europa League win over Zorya Luhansk.

A run of four goals in three games against Crystal Palace, West Brom and Sunderland, as well as an assist in a comeback win over Middlesbrough, rounded off a brilliant month for the Swede, who had faced questions as to whether or not he could make in the Premier League.

His performance in December takes Ibrahimovic to 18 goals in 28 appearances for the Red Devils, who now sit sixth in the league, ten shy of leaders Chelsea, who have a game in hand.
