Inter Milan will be bidding for European glory when they face Manchester City in the Champions League final on Saturday.

The Italian side have surprised many people with their run to the final in Istanbul, while the Citizens are hoping to win the competition for the first time and in doing so complete the treble.

Pep Guardiola’s side, who had already secured the Premier League title, beat rivals Manchester United to lift the FA Cup at Wembley on Saturday.

Inter, meanwhile, finished third in Serie A this season, having most recently won the top flight title two years ago.

The 2010 Champions League winners will go into the match against City as underdogs, but their supporters will undoubtedly believe that they can beat the Citizens and lift the trophy for a fourth time.

In the meantime, it appears that Inter are hoping to sign a Chelsea star this summer.

As per Football Insider, the Italian side are interested in signing defender Trevoh Chalobah.

The centre-back progressed through the Blues’ youth setup and made his senior debut at the start of last season, having previously spent time on loan at Ipswich Town, Huddersfield Town and Lorient.

Chalobah has reportedly attracted interest from Inter Milan

Since moving into the first team setup, Chalobah has played a bit-part role for his boyhood club.

In total, the former England under-21 international has made 63 appearances across all competitions, operating both at centre-back and right-back.

The report claims that the 23-year-old is interested in a move to Italy and would be willing to enter into negotiations with Inter if Chelsea allow him to do so.

Inter are believed to have been interested in the player for some time now, with the report suggesting that they tried to sign him during the January window.

In November last year, Chalobah signed a new long-term contract with Chelsea which is set to run until 2028.

It is claimed that the Premier League side haven’t yet decided what to do with the player, although Brighton and Hove Albion would reportedly be interested in including the defender in a potential swap deal for Moises Caicedo, who has attracted significant attention from both Chelsea and Arsenal.
