Chelsea continue their pre-season preparations with a game against Scottish champions Celtic on Saturday.

The Blues were held to a 2-2 draw by League One side Wrexham in their first friendly of the summer, but new head coach Enzo Maresca has since insisted that he was happy with his side’s performance against the Welsh club.

No fewer than six players have been signed by Chelsea so far this summer, including Tosin Adarabioyo and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, but it remains to be seen whether the club will continue spending before the window slams shut next month.

Like most Premier League sides, the Blues are likely to have to offload players this summer in order to avoid breaching the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules.

Now, one of their attackers is reportedly attracting interest from Italy.

As reported by Italian outlet Calciomercato via The Hard Tackle, Serie A side AC Milan are interested in Chelsea striker Armando Broja.

Broja joined Fulham on loan last January

The Albanian spent the second half of last season on loan at West London neighbours Fulham, but played just eight times for the Cottagers and failed to score during his time at Craven Cottage.

A product of the Blues’ youth academy, the 22-year-old has scored three goals and provided one assist in 38 games for Chelsea across all competitions.

The report claims that Milan have made contact with the Blues over a potential deal, while fellow Premier League side Everton have also shown interest in the Albania international.

If he were to stay put at Stamford Bridge for the upcoming season, Broja would be competing with the likes of Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson for a starting spot in Maresca’s side next term.

Broja’s current contract with Chelsea is set to expire in the summer of 2028.
