Chelsea will hope to build on Monday’s victory against Wolves when they face reigning Premier League champions Manchester City on Saturday.

The Blues ended a run of five matches without a win by beating Wolves 3-1 at Stamford Bridge on Monday, courtesy of goals from Tosin Adarabioyo, Marc Cucurella and Noni Madueke.

That win moved Enzo Maresca’s side back into the top four, but they will fall back down the table if they lose against the Citizens on Saturday.

With the transfer deadline fast approaching, speculation surrounding Premier League clubs including Chelsea is rife.

The Blues are yet to make a senior signing during the current window, but it appears that one of their most high profile players is attracting interest from elsewhere.

According to CaughtOffside, Italian outfit AC Milan are interested in Chelsea forward Joao Felix, however agreeing a deal this month could be ‘complex’.

Felix, 25, joined Chelsea from Spanish side Atletico Madrid last summer, returning to London for a second spell having previously been on loan at Stamford Bridge.

Felix has struggled to force his way into Maresca’s starting XI this season

Since returning to England, though, the Portugal international has failed to establish himself as a regular starter under Maresca.

He has made 20 appearances across all competitions so far this term – scoring seven goals – but has started just three Premier League matches.

The report claims that Chelsea are open to the idea of selling the Portuguese if the right deal can be agreed.

While the Blues would consider an initial loan move with an obligation-to-buy clause, their Italian counterparts may not be able to afford such a deal and are instead discussing the possibility of an option-to-buy.

It is claimed that the Serie A side have suggested setting an option-to-buy clause at around £30 million, although they could be willing to go as far as £34 million.

Despite Milan’s interest, the report claims that their current offer hasn’t yet met Chelsea’s demands.
