The transfer window is now officially open, with Premier League clubs set for a busy summer.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has guided his side to consecutive second-placed finishes in the Premier League, and the Spaniard will be desperate to see his side go one better next term.

The Gunners will have to get the better of rivals Manchester City if they are to do so, and Arteta could therefore be keen to bolster his squad during this summer’s transfer window.

It appears, though, that Arsenal may have to fend off interest in one of their defenders this summer.

According to Tutto Mercato via The Mirror, Italian giants Juventus are interested in Gunners full-back Jakub Kiwior.

Kiwior has emerged as a target for Juventus

The Poland international impressed for Arteta’s side last season, and the report claims that new Juventus boss Thiago Motta is keen to sign the defender this summer.

Motta managed Kiwior during his time at fellow Italian club Spezia, before the player joined Arsenal in January 2023.

The report claims that Motta is keen for a reunion with the full-back, who has also been heavily linked with fellow Serie A side AC Milan.

Since arriving at The Emirates, Kiwior has played 38 appearances across all competitions, scoring twice and registering three assists.

Last term, the Polish defender played 30 times including 20 Premier League matches as Arteta’s side finished second in the top flight table.

Kiwior’s current contract with Arsenal is set to run until the end of the 2027/28 campaign, which puts Arsenal under very little pressure to sell the player any time soon.
