Janko in demand

Saidy Janko could be on his way to Bristol City.

According to a report in the Bristol Post the Celtic defender is interesting the Championship.

Former Celtic boss Ronny Deila signed Janko from Manchester United in July 2015 but he has fallen out of contention under Ronny Deila.

Mikael Lustig, Anthony Ralston and Cristian Gamboa are competing for the right back position with Janko spending last season on loan at Barnsley.

Celtic would prefer to sell the Swiss u-21 internationalist but with two seasons left on his contract they may have to settle for another season long loan.

Janko made 14 appearances for Barnsley finishing the season strongly after being out of action for three months over the winter.

Lee Johnston is hoping to put together a promotion challenging squad to emulate Reading and Huddersfield next season with versatile operators like Janko who can play right back or right midfield needed for the 46 match marathon.
