Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly put young duo Tyler Blackett and Guillermo Varela up for sale, according to the Sun.

It is understood that the new Red Devils boss will look to offload around eight players from his squad this summer as his Old Trafford revolution continues, with the Portuguese manager still keen to complete a £100 million deal for Juventus’ Paul Pogba.

Two of those casualties could be defenders Blackett and Varela, with the former making his United debut in Louis van Gaal’s first match in charge of the club in August 2014, making a total of 12 appearances before being sent out on a season-long loan to Celtic for the 2015/16 campaign.

Meanwhile, Varela, who is a right-back, has made 11 outings for the club since becoming the first player to be signed under the leadership of David Moyes in 2013, all of which came last term.

Red Devils supporters shouldn’t see this news as an indication that the former Chelsea boss doesn’t value the club’s youth players though, as he is big fan of fellow youngsters, Axel Tuanzebe and Timothy Fosu-Mensah.
