Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is contemplating whether or not to bring back Ben Woodburn from his loan spell early in January, according to Goal.com.

The Welshman joined the Blades on a season-long loan in the summer but is yet to nail down a spot in the first-team, making just six appearances for Chris Wilder’s side.

It is understood that Klopp has the option to recall the forward in January but no talks have yet taken place between the two clubs yet.

Blades manager Chris Wilder is unable to give Woodburn minutes on the pitch.

Woodburn did not even make the squad for the Blades’ last game (the Sheffield Derby) and has played just 28 minutes of senior football since August.

But with the Bramall Lane outfit sitting fourth in the Championship table, it seems fortunes are unlikely to change for the Wales international and a return to his parent club could be the right option.

It will be the Reds boss’ decision, but with the attacking prowess the Reds already have in their squad, the German may decide to keep his starlet amongst the Championship promotion push.
