Arsenal return to action when they travel north to face Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday.

The Gunners have enjoyed a strong start to the new Premier League campaign, winning three of their first four matches so far – most recently coming from behind to defeat Manchester United 3-1 last time out.

Mikel Arteta will be keen for his side to continue their momentum as they look to go one better than last season, when they finished as runners-up behind champions Manchester City.

The North London outfit were boosted by the arrival of Declan Rice over the summer, and the England international proved his worth by putting Arsenal ahead in added-time against United last week.

Now, though, it appears that the Gunners could face a battle to keep hold of one of their star players.

As per La Repubblica, Serie A giants Juventus are eyeing a move for Thomas Partey as a potential replacement for Paul Pogba.

Pogba has been suspended for an anti-doping offence

Former Manchester United midfielder Pogba was provisionally suspended for an anti-doping offence earlier this week, and the report claims that the Italian side could look to Partey if they terminate the Frenchman’s contract.

Partey, 30, joined Arsenal from Spanish side Atletico Madrid in 2020 and has since played an integral role for the North London club.

The Ghana international has made more than 100 appearances across all competitions, including 33 Premier League appearances during Arsenal’s impressive campaign last term.

This season, though, the Ghanaian has started just two of Arsenal’s four league matches, and has also been played out of position as a right-back to accommodate new signing Rice.

Partey is currently sidelined due to injury but is expected to return in time for Arteta’s side’s trip to Merseyside on Saturday.
