Juventus are reportedly aiming to land France international forward Anthony Martial on a free transfer, according to Calciomercato.
The defending Serie A champions, who defeated Parma 2-1 away from home in the Italian top-flight last weekend, have been linked with a move for the Manchester United striker.
The 22-year-old, who has 18 international caps for his country, has made just one competitive appearance for the Premier League side so far this season, starting The Red Devils’ 3-2 defeat at Brighton and Hove Albion.
Martial, who arrived at Old Trafford back in September 2015 following his move from AS Monaco, in a deal worth up to £58m, has scored 36 goals in 137 appearances in all competitions for the club overall.
However, his future at The Theatre of Dreams is uncertain, having been left on the bench for two league games, and left out of the matchday squad entirely to face Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League already this campaign, after numerous links with moves away from Manchester during the summer transfer window.
The report claims Serie A giants Juventus have targeted Martial as their next marquee free signing next summer, following in the footsteps of the likes of Emre Can (Liverpool) and Paul Pogba, who left United originally back in 2012 for the Turin outfit.
Martial is contracted at Old Trafford until June 2019, and is valued at £58.5m.
