Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho is weighing up his options ahead of a move away from Anfield this month, according to reports from talkSport.

The France international has been exiled on Merseyside by manager Jurgen Klopp after the pair fell out over the summer, and has not played a single minute of first team football this season.

The 26-year-old is therefore looking at a way out and, with Klopp happy to see the back of the defender this month, is choosing between two offers.

The first, and supposedly the more favoured, is from Southampton who are looking to replace former captain Jose Fonte, who joined West Ham last week.

Sakho is reportedly keen to work with his compatriot Claude Puel whilst remaining in the Premier League, however, he is also looking into a move to Spartak Moscow, who are offering a more inciting pay-packet than the Saints.

The centre-half could get a chance to speak to the Saints boss when his side face Liverpool at Anfield this evening in their EFL Cup semi-final second leg.
