Liverpool are set to announce Jürgen Klopp as their new manager on a three-year deal.

The 48-year-old, who left Borussia Dortmund after seven years at the end of last season, will succeed Brendan Rodgers in the coming days.

It is understood that the German will get the last say on all transfer activity at Anfield, something Rodgers did not have during his spell on Merseyside.

Klopp will be hoping to replicate the kind of success – two Bundesliga titles, three German Super Cups, one German Cup and a Champions League final appearance – he achieved at Dortmund.
