Alberto Moreno had a decent chance to put some pressure on James Milner in the battle for the left-back spot, especially with the amount of games coming up, yet he underperformed against Plymouth.

The Spanish international, who lost his place to former England midfielder Milner at the start of the campaign, didn’t defend well and looked shaky against the League Two high-flyers.

And, with tougher tests to come against Swansea through the likes of Nathan Dyer and Wayne Routledge, it’ll be a surprise to see him in the starting eleven at Anfield on Saturday.
