Manchester City are one of the clubs interested in the Burnley defender but with a tighter squad Everton could offer a better chance of first team football to push the 24-year-old closer to Gareth Southgate’s England squad.
Burnley would prefer to hold on to Keane but with his contract up net summer a bidding war at the end of the January transfer window may yield the highest price.
