Ronald Koeman says he would love to manage Barcelona one day but not before he’s achieved success at Everton.

The former Barcelona defender has been linked with a move back to the Nou Camp ever since his time at Southampton but claims he won’t walk out of Goodison before he’s fulfilled his contract.

While those words offer some comfort to fans others have questioned the validity of them, particularly as he left St Mary’s with a year left on his deal at the club.

In his latest press conference Koeman noted:

“In my life as a professional coach, I have two dreams to fulfil. One, to coach my national team, Holland. I could have done it but my obligation to Everton prevented me. My other wish, my other dream, is to one day coach Barca. That’s the truth.”

Many fans of the Toffees will find the idea that Koeman wants to return to the Nou Camp completely unsurprising, but others have begun to worry if the Dutchman’s heart is completely focused on the job in hand.

Everton fans took to social media to give their reaction to Koeman’s comments.
