Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has a lot of business to deal with between now and the start of the season. Having signed a new two-year extension at The Emirates, the French boss is beginning a complete overhaul of his playing staff.

Whilst there will be some turnaround in north London this summer, key players will need to be kept at the club in order to build a new squad around.

One of those is skipper Laurent Koscielny who, aside from a few injury lay-offs, had a good season at the back alongside German international Shkodran Mustafi.

The 31-year-old had been linked with a move to Marseille, however, speaking to Telefoot he has reaffirmed his commitment to the Gunners.

“I have a contract with Arsenal,” said the centre-half.

“I even signed an extension last November until [June] 2020. I feel very good there.

“I have always said that I was a Marseille fan when I was younger. When a mythical club like Marseille contact you, it is good. But will I sign for them? I have no idea at all.”

Since making the move to the Premier League the £18.7m-rated defender has made almost 300 appearances for the Gunners in all competitions, winning three FA Cups, although he was ruled out of this season’s final due to suspension.
