Lazio are the latest club to join the race to sign Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud this window, according to Sky Sports in Italy

The France international forward has been linked with many European clubs in the last few weeks including AC Milan and Tottenham Hotspur.

A move to the latter would have been a surprise with Giroud being an ex-Arsenal frontman and Chelsea competition with Spurs for a Champions League spot.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has brought a young fresh look to his old club.

Now SkySports in Italy have reported that Lazio are the latest club to come in for the 33-year-old, who is desperate for more game time.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has clearly set out his team to be young, energetic and has favoured England international Tammy Abraham over Giroud, despite the striker’s experience.

It remains to be be seen whether Giroud will make his move, as Lampard is keen to bring in another front man before letting him leave Stamford Bridge.
