The leaders Burton failed to increase their advantage at the top of League One after they were beaten 2-0 by Bradford City at Valley Parade.

Kyel Reid put the Bantams ahead early in the first half, before on-loan West Ham defender Reece Burke bagged the second. Victory lifts Phil Parkinson’s side up to seventh and level on points with sixth-placed Barnsley, while Albion remain four points clear of Wigan.

Coventry failed to reignite their promotion push as they were beaten 2-1 away at Shrewsbury. The Sky Blues took an early lead through Aaron Martin, but the Shrews were level before the tenth minute when Sullay Kaikai equalised. Shaun Whalley netted the winner for Micky Mellon’s side who lift themselves seven points clear of the drop zone as a result. After a fourth successive defeat, Tony Mowbray’s Midlanders are now three points outside the play-offs.

Doncaster hover dangerously above the bottom four after they lost 2-0 to Scunthorpe. Tom Hopper put the Iron ahead, before David Mirfin’s second half strike sealed the win that moves them to within five points of the top six. Donny are only one place and two points above the the relegation places.
