Oldham Athletic gave themselves hope of survival in League One after a valuable 2-1 away win at Peterborough United on Tuesday night.

Cameron Dummigan and captain Liam Kelly were on target for the Latics, who have now gone five games undefeated and have moved within a point of safety. Souleymane Coulibaly netted for Posh as they stay 12th.

John Sheridan’s Oldham are now just one point adrift of safety in League One following successive league wins.

Fleetwood remain in trouble after losing 1-0 away at Rochdale. Joe Bunney’s fourth goal in his last three games earned Keith Hill’s side all three points. The Cod Army stay 20th, only out of the bottom four on goal difference.

And finally Barnsley missed the chance to close the gap on their play-off rivals as they drew 0-0 with Bury. The Tykes had Adam Hammill dismissed late in the second-half as a draw hinders both side’s top six aspirations.
