Player of the Month: John Akinde (Barnet)

Barnet have enjoyed a comfortable return to the Football League, ending the season in 15th place, despite still having one league fixture to play this weekend.

A big highlight of their season has been the form of striker John Akinde.

He has scored 21 goals this season, with six of those coming in April, including braces against Leyton Orient and Yeovil.

Akinde’s form last season was one of the key reasons Barnet won the Conference, but they might struggle to keep hold of him in the summer.

Manager of the Month: Neal Ardley (AFC Wimbledon)

Having spent most of the season around mid-table, Neal Ardley’s Dons hit form at just the right time to secure a play-off spot.

They won five games in a row in April including vital away wins at promotion hopefuls Wycombe Wanderers and Plymouth Argyle before ending the month with a draw at Stevenage to ensure themselves a place in the end of season lottery.

With four clean sheets and just three goals conceded, they will be a hard side to beat. If Ardley’s men can continue their form from April, a spot in League One could well be theirs next term.

Goal of the Month: Malvind Benning (Exeter City vs MANSFIELD TOWN)
