Dagenham & Redbridge’s faint survival hopes took what could be a fatal blow after they were defeated 1-0 by Luton at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday night.

Pelly Ruddock netted the game’s only goal in the first half for the Hatters as they move up a place to 14th. Daggers’ bid to avoid relegation looks almost impossible now as they sit on the bottom, 11 points from safety with just five games remaining.

Notts County confirmed their League Two status for next season with a 1-0 win over Hartlepool. Jon Stead’s lone second half strike was enough for the victory and to mathematically guarantee their survival. Pool stay in in 16th, one place above their opponents at Meadow Lane.
