Plymouth Argyle became the first Football League side to reach a play-off final, after beating Portsmouth 1-0 in their second leg to win 3-2 on aggregate after a stoppage-time winner from Peter Hartley.

In a game of few chances, the two sides played out a nervy second encounter, after drawing 2-2 in the first leg, just days beforehand.

But, it was Hartley who sealed his place in Argyle folklore as he scored the winner, after a goalmouth scramble in the first minute of stoppage-time.

Wimbledon also scored a stoppage-time winner in their first leg game against Accrington to win 1-0.

The Dons were the dominant side at home and created chance after chance, but failed to find a way past the visitors’ goalkeeper.

That was until Tom Beere drove home a late winner to give the hosts an advantage before Wednesday’s semi-final decider.
