Leeds United are reportedly exploring the possibility of signing England international striker Peter Crouch.

The Championship side, who currently sit 12th in the standings heading into the New Year, are understood to have already contacted Premier League club Stoke City over the availability of the forward in the January transfer window.

The 34-year-old, who has scored 22 goals in 42 international caps for the Three Lions, has been restricted to just three substitute league appearances for Mark Hughes’ Potters so far this season.

The impact of fellow forwards Bojan and Joselu at the Britannia Stadium have kept Crouch left in the dark this term, although the ex-England international’s wage demands could prove to be the ultimate stumbling block for Steve Evans’ Whites.
