Championship side Leeds United look set to seal the permanent signing of winger Hadi Sacko from Sporting Lisbon, according to his own Twitter handle (via The Yorkshire Evening Post).

The 23-year-old spent the campaign on loan at Elland Road and did reasonably well in helping Garry Monk’s side to a seventh place finish, scoring twice and laying on three assists in 38 league appearances for the Yorkshire outfit.

And it looks like the Whites are going to make his move to England permanent this summer, with the winger himself indicating that a deal is on the horizon through his own Twitter handle.

This news will surely excite Leeds fans after what has been a strange few weeks at Elland Road, with the excitement of Andrea Radrizzani’s takeover met with disappointment following the resignation of manager Monk.

Nonetheless, whoever does take over at Leeds will inherit a squad that finished just five points adrift of the Championship play-off places, and will have the chance to build upon their best finish in the second tier since 2011 next time round.

And they look like doing so with Sacko in their ranks.
