Leeds United are interested in a move for Newcastle United goalkeeper Karl Darlow, according to reports.

The 28-year-old only made one appearance for the Magpies last term in all competitions as he found himself behind number 1 Martin Dubravka in the pecking order.

And Football Insider report that Leeds are keen on offering the ex-Nottingham Forest stopper a fresh challenge.

Bielsa’s Leeds lost to Derby County in the play-off semi-finals last season.

However, any potential deal rests on whether the Elland Road outfit can offload current ‘keeper Kiko Casilla.

Boss Marcelo Bielsa only signed the 32-year-old from Real Madrid in January but it’s claimed the Argentine boss is already looking to sell the one-time Spain international.

If a buyer is found for the Spaniard it’s thought that Darlow is high up on the list of potential replacements.

Despite being in the final year of his contract, it’s thought Newcastle will not make a decision over their stopper’s future until they appoint a new manager.
